Dazzling Sunburst Sympathy Cards

Hi All

It seems that I am getting to the age where I now make more and more sympathy cards.
It is an unfortunate part of life that we will eventually pass on however  it is really sad
to lose people who are so wonderful
or maybe I should now say ‘were so wonderful’.
Mmmm I am fairly solemn and morbid today aren’t I?

OK to the cards…

When I had to work out what card designs to make today I immediately went to one of my
favourite designers blogs for inspiration.
If you ever get a chance visit Pamscrafts she is amazing
and she uses dies magnificently.
I was originally going to do a clean card but chose to
use a white theme after seeing Pams sympathy cards.

The cards today have a fair bit going on and I have used a number of dies to build them
but they are for some special people
so it was worth the time.
Both have exactly the same dies, embossing folder and overall theme happening,

the layout is just a little different in each.

The first card has used spellbinders 5×7 Matting Basics A Card Creator Die
which  I then used dazzling sunburst embossing folder for the background.
(It is super hard to see in the photo but it is the same background as
card two – just a softer pattern).
I distress inked the border with Victorian Velvet ink using my blending tool and

adhered the panel directly to my card base.

The second card I deep embossed some card with the Dazzling Sunburst embossing folder,
cut the card to size and layered it
onto some Oyster Chic card before adhering to my card base.

Now are you ready for the dies?
Firstly there is the Small Gothic Window from Poppystamps.
Then I used the crosses cut and emboss set from Momenta
so each card has differing crosses.
Next was Butterfly Burst from Wild Rose studio UK
along with little butterfly also from Wild Rose.
Lastly I used the delightful Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters die set –
this set is worth the money as the flowers are amazing!

Now, with some love, whack it altogether using double sided tape, mounting foam and your glue gun.
Add some Ipaper Silver pearls to the centre of the Asters and Voila !!
Two separate sympathy cards for two amazing people!
